School Code: 380581
Many of our students who graduate from CMA School of Arts and Sciences choose to attend four year college or university. Our courses are also accepted by the NCAA Eligibility Center for student athletes looking to compete on the collegiate level. We have compiled a partial list of Colleges attended by recent graduates of PEG schools.

Transcript Review
Our counseling team will evaluate the student's previous schools transcript to show what is required to graduate from CMA School of Arts and Sciences, as well as, what courses are needed if s/he wishes to attend a four-year university and/or a highly selective college/university. This process is completed upon enrollment for all high school students. To have a student's transcript evaluated prior to enrollment, the student would be required to pre-register and pay the non-refundable registration fee.
After transcript evaluation, students consult with their educational facilitator and counselor to select a course of study that meets their goals and needs. The counselor is also available to review current standing and to help ensure that each student is steadily progressing toward graduation as well as towards post-graduation goals.
Guidance Program
CMA School of Arts and Sciences is proud to offer a fully Comprehensive Guidance Program as recommended by the American School Counselor’s Association (ASCA). The four main components of a Comprehensive Guidance Program include:
- Guidance Curriculum: Offered through classroom presentations by either the counselor or Educational Facilitator. Guidance curriculum can also be presented in online school-wide meetings as well as through structured groups that can be organized. Usually the guidance curriculum will be grade level specific (elementary, middle school, and high school).
Main goals:
- Self-knowledge
- Educational & Occupational Exploration
- Career Planning
- Individual Planning: Individual planning can occur through requests by students, instructors, parents, or Educational Facilitators. This can include advisement for career and future educational goals, assessment for schooling purposes, and any other requested advisement needed. Usually individual planning focuses on students’ personal/social, educational, & career goals.
Main goals:
- Individual Educational Goal Planning
- Individual Occupational Goal Planning
- Responsive Services: This is a very necessary aspect of any guidance program. Our trained staff (instructors, counselor, Educational Facilitators, & administration) will be available for any responsive services when they are needed. This can occur through individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, and consultation & referral to outside help/services when/if needed. Our goal is to help our students and family maintain a healthy lifestyle that supports an online educational setting. If any issues arise that detract from the student’s ability to be successful in our educational setting we will try to help remedy the situation.
Main goals:
- Prevention, Intervention, & Referrals in the following areas: academic concerns & study skills, school-related concerns, dropout prevention, relationship concerns & grief/loss/death, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, substance abuse, family issues, sexuality issues, coping w/ stress, parent/family issues & education
- System Support: This is simply the management and development of the Comprehensive Guidance Program. We will try to self-assess and evaluate the needs of our students and what we are currently offering. We would love to have parents and families give feedback on things they would like us to offer from our guidance program. This also includes professional development so that we are trained and up-to-date on the latest in guidance counseling, curriculum, and advisement practices.
Main goals:
- Guidance program management, development & academic program assessment & evaluation
- Teacher/Instructor/EF/Administration consultation & Staff development
- School wide improvement planning
- Counselor professional development
- Research, publishing, public relations, & community outreach
